Manifesting What You Want

So, if we are where we are supposed to be, how do we create or manifest something different, something we want but don't have? Ahhhh that is the true question. Several years ago, when I called my mom to tell her I had finished my studies, and actually received that piece of paper called a Doctorate, she said very nonchalantly, "Well of course you did! You are the only woman I know who always does what she sets out to do!" I was a bit taken aback. I thought everybody decided what they wanted, set their sites on that goal, and worked to get it. But as I thought about it, I realized I was wrong. And this has become very apparent to me with the people around me. So I set out to find the best ways to help others achieve their goals, their desires, their Passions! Last week I got certified as a "Passion Test Facilitator." (What's one more certification in the pile I have growing on my file cabinet?) And of course, had fun in Atlanta training with 25 or so other like minded folks.
One of the concepts that I recognized is the idea of intent - attention - no tension. It goes like this. First set the intent (what you want) and when it comes to intention, being clear on what it is that you want is very important.
"When you are clear, what you want will show up in your life and only to the extent that you are clear." Janet Bray Attwood.
Next, pay attention! This is about what you want, not what you don't want. (Call me to take the Passion Test if you are still not clear on what you want! 661-209-2632)
And finally, no tension. Let go! Once you know what your passions are, and you let go of how they will come, you can start living with passion. The "what" shows up in your life.
Ok, ok, I know, that's not enough information. But that is how it works. At one time I was VERY passionate about obtaining that Doctorate. I worked diligently toward it for 6 years. And no, it did not seem like work. But I know it was. At one time I was VERY passionate about obtaining a black belt in Aikido. I worked diligently at that for 4 years (at the same time I was obtaining a Doctorate.) And no, it didn't seem like work.
Now I am very passionate about my business and my school of hypnosis. I work diligently towards certain success goals. AND I'm living my passions.
So, if you'd like to learn more about your passions, please give me a call. I'll be giving one on one passion test sessions over the phone, in person, and Passion Test Group Seminars soon.

We are where we are supposed to be!

We are where we are supposed to be! Haven't you heard that phrase many times? Even in many ways? Well recently, it has become apparent that I am where I am supposed to be. From phone calls out of the blue of students wanting hypnosis training right down to being the right dog breeder encourage healing! Let me explain. A few weeks ago, I received an e-mail from a girl wanting information about my AKC Registered Yorkshire Terrier pups. We e-mailed back and forth for about 10 days. Her family budget was only $700 and my pups sell for $1500 and up. She negotiated well, and I finally agreed to let her have a male pup who was the largest of the litter for $750 (here in CA. the smaller the better, though I refuse to breed those unhealthy teacups by breeding runts to runts!) She decided that she really wanted a female so would keep searching. (I know that $750 for a registered Yorkie is impossible unless you go out of state or to a puppy mill!) Then I got an e-mail from Emily's father. He informed me that I had been negotiating with a 13 year old! I was a bit embarassed, and apologized for communicating with a child. He let me know that she had asked if she could e-mail with a "lady Dr." and he and her mother both knew and had approved. He also let me know that Emily had been promised a puppy as a reward for keeping her appointments with her Psychiatrist and taking her medication. Emily has OCD (the type that has her consistently washing her hands.) Now that she had been researching, they realized they would have to save longer, and budget more, and maybe would have enough when our next litter (next year) was born.
Well, I thought about it. I believed them. I also know that my puppy breeding is a hobby, and not so much about the money. So I spoke to my husband about it and we decided to let them have a female for $750. After a couple of e-mails later, they came to get a puppy. As I saw the happiness in Emily's eyes, and visited with her, her mom and 2 sisters, I knew that there is a reason we are where we were meant to be. Emily and I and her puppy (now named LILLY VICTORIA) had found each other as was meant to be. (And her parents actually paid me $1000 instead of the agree upon $750 because this was meant to be!)

Hypnosis WORKS against profanity!

Last week at our local Chamber of Commerce luncheon the guest speaker discussed "rules" of communication. One of those rules was about using profanity in the work place and he posed, and answered the question, "What do you do when an employee swears at you?" He even cited an example of using the "F" word. Much later in his presentation he used another common swear word. Oops...his credibility dropped another 10 points!
Now I've often said that themes "show up" in my office. Once something is brought to your awareness, it seems to show up again and again. So the next day, we talked a bit about using profanity in daily life, professional life, and occasionally just for dramatic effect. I had to admit, that as a teen in the 70's it was pretty cool to swear! But in growing up, I found other ways to be a cool individual without shocking or offending anyone with language. I also figured out those swear words just didn't really describe much at all! And I also added that I didn't hear much profanity at work. AND I only use it now, with intent!
So not only did I hear about swearing, I talked about it (!) and then it happened to me! One of my advertisers got a bit frustrated with my constant negotiating that he used that outrageous "F" word at me! I was shocked! I was outraged! Then I thought a minute and realized I was NOT offended. So I called back, left a message for pushing the last button of patience he had, and moved on...resulting in a call back from him, ("wasn't me, my phone went dead.") a completed contract, and what I hope will be a fair business relationship.
Several times in my career I've been asked to assist a client to stop swearing. Using a simple NLP technique and a basic hypnosis session, each client has successfully changed their language to be what they wanted to portray. I remember with a smile the 60 something gentleman who called to say, "I was driving home, wondering about the results of my session when the realization hit. WOW! I don't have to do that anymore!" He claimed his grin was from ear to ear!
